Hello! My name is Emma, a soon-to-be Loyola University of Chicago graduate studying Psychology and Communications. I am a Chicago-suburbs native and lover of learning about how people connect. Let’s talk about it!

I am a passionate and driven student from the southwest suburbs. Since I was little, I knew I wanted to study psychology and how people connect and interact. I grew up going to YMCA Camp Edwards overnight camp every summer and as I got older, grew through the Leadership Development Program and became a full-time summer counselor. Flash forward a few years, I am helping redesign and successfully implement the same Leadership Development Program I partook in, but to new sessions of teens ready to grow their leadership and team-building skills. I was able to teach groups of aspiring leaders how to work toward the benefit of a company, and do so productively, proficiently, and united. For me, this is when it clicked.

I grew up in a household that taught me to keep my passions in line with my education, career, and hobbies. On top of being an Illinois State Scholar in high school, I played soccer, participated in musical theater, and partook in various clubs. Now in college, I keep my passions close in my work. Through having coached swimmers, lifeguarded, and my current position working events/serving at Tied House/Schuba’s Tavern (a Chicago-famous music venue), I have been able to strengthen my skills while indulging in my passions and earning my degree. Teaching, leadership, interpersonal skills, writing, problem-solving, time and conflict management, and adaptability have become my superpowers.

Studying Psychology and Communications Studies has filled my ambition for understanding how people connect, and more importantly how to help people connect. My professional interests include Marketing Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Marketing Consulting. Connection first requires conversation, and I welcome you to contact me to get one started!
